for MONDAY 23 September
-- bring to class a pre-edited and -proofread full rough draft of Paper #1 for peer review; bring a copy for me and for Doris. Use peer group comments/suggestions to start revising this draft on your own while waiting to get my comments back during your conference.
for TUESDAY 24 September -- CONFERENCE DAY
-- if you scheduled a conference today, show up for it on time (Turlington 4357). Bring in any revisions made to your rough draft in light of peer group review; bring in one or two specific questions you may have about the paper (but make them focused questions, not just general "how'm I doing?" questions).
for WEDNESDAY 25 September -- CONFERENCE DAY; NO CLASS MEETING

-- have read Charlotte Perkins Gilman's novella "The Yellow Wallpaper" in course packet pp.59-69. (Ignore the large blank spaces on packet p.62/doc.p.45 and packet p.66/doc.p.53 -- I've excised some daft 19C illustrations that don't help at all.) Be ready to discuss in class; Doris will lead us.
