»»WEEK 9 (10/21 - 10/26/02) -- while we begin discussing Kingston's The Woman Warrior, we'll also work on drafting Paper #2.

for MONDAY 21 October
-- we'll begin discussing Maxine hong Kingston's The Woman Warrior: A Memoir of a Girlhood Among Ghosts.
-- bring in a tentative thesis and outline for Paper 1 for mine, Doris, and your group's feedback. Bring in numerous copies: 1 for me, 1 for Doris, and 1 for each member of your group.
for WEDNESDAY 23 October
-- We'll continue discussing The Woman Warrior
-- we'll address elements pertinent to Paper #2.

-- bring to class a pre-edited and -proofread full rough draft of Paper #2 for peer review; bring a copy for me and for Doris. Use peer group comments/suggestions to start revising this draft on your own while waiting to get my comments back during your conference.
for TUESDAY 29 October -- CONFERENCE DAY
-- if you scheduled a conference today, show up for it on time (Turlington 4357). Bring in any revisions made to your rough draft in light of peer group review; bring in one or two specific questions you may have about the paper (but make them focused questions, not just general "how'm I doing?" questions).
for WEDNESDAY 30 October -- CONFERENCE DAY; NO CLASS MEETING
